The Boaz Box at the front of the parking lot provides food for the homeless. There is currently a need for non-perishable protein items such as canned tuna, peanut butter, etc.

E-GIVING IS NOW AVAILABLE - Electronic Giving is a convenient, consistent way to help our church grow. Consider scheduling a recurring electronic contribution today.

UNITED METHODIST MEN –will meet 8/17 at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Final plans will be made for their annual Brunswick stew that will be part of the 300th celebration. It takes many hands for the stew; all men of the church are invited to the meeting that will begin with pizza from Dano’s. If you plan to attend, please call the
church so enough food is available.

COUNCIL MEETING – The next administrative council meeting will be held August 28th at 7:00 p.m. There will be no meeting on 8/7 or 9/4.

LET’S TALK ABOUT PICTURES! - As we prepare for the 300th Anniversary of LUMC, we are looking for pictures of activities and families from Lower Church. All photographs will be scanned and original photos given back to the owner. Please contact Rebecca Ballard at rballard@va.metrocast.net, leave an envelope in the church office with a note "Rebecca Ballard photos", or see Rebecca during church, or Sunday School. Documenting our history with photographs is important. Please provide as much information about the photos and people involved to be included in a PowerPoint during the celebration. Thank you!

INVITATIONS – Is there someone who should be included in our 300th Anniversary Celebration? Let the church office know their name and address so that we can send them a “Save The Date” notice.
